The Air Jordan 17 (XVII) Retro - Countdown Package 6 / 17 (Black / Metallic Silver) were released alongside the Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro - Carmines (Countdown Package 6 / 17), and together retailed for $310. This was actually the first time that the Black . Metallic Silver colorway was ever retroed.  They feature an all black colorway constructed from leather. The Air Jordan 17 (XVII) featured a peel-off plastic on the heel to keep the chrome fresh until you decided to rock them.  They also featured a clip on plate to shield the lacing system. Other features include a lightweight phylon midsole with blow molded heel Air-Sole unit and forefoot tuned air unit, TPU heel stabilizer for heel and ankle support, and a full length composite shank plate provides increased support and prevents turf toe.
